See Evans Paint with his Hands

One of my favorite artists I met at Art Basel 2015

Cory Evans Paints all his masterpieces with his hands.

A raw look at the talent I wish I possessed. I have a new appreciation for artists from every walk of life. No matter the age. Creation through ones mind is becoming a life magnet for me.  As I walk further down the path of learning light, color compliments & composition I have completely fallen into the rabbit hole.

Story teller in training,

Carl

Great pictures, Carl, great pose in #1 that mimics Ali's arms, and in #2, it looks like his subject is reacting to a poke in the eye by his hand. Really well done!

Fireworks 2014

Nikon D7000 - 18-105 F/11-F/16 BulbMode - No trigger - that must have fallen on the ground somewhere.

A couple of the firework shots I took. I messed up and took a picture of the cat before we left and when I  got out there and fought my way to a spot I could shoot. My ISO was on 600 as apposed to the 100 I thought it was set on. And in the pitch black surrounded by people it was less than desirable fumbling around in the dark while my camera was attached to the tripod 15 mins in to the fireworks show. So I have to find some new fireworks to shoot to see how much difference it would have made.(I think a lot) or wait another year to try this again.

Ooof, I strongly detest that ISO regret feeling. Although grain has a nice feel sometimes. These don't seem super grainy to me. Colour turned out nice too. Belated happy 4th of July!

Florida Squirrel

Lumix LF1

Hi Everyone,

We had a change of plans, and we're back home!

We had a nice, relaxing week in Florida, staying with Dolph and Peggy. Gail and I went for a walk around Dolph's house one day, where I spotted this guy on a tree.

We also had a chance to meet Carl D. over lunch one day. It was nice to finally meet each other in person.

FOG? OR HUMIDITY? FLORIDA IS THE ANSWER

Nikon D7000 ISO100 f/9 200 Tokina 11-16mm @ 14mm

Well I wish I could find the email I was trying to read on my phone in between coffee refills. I know the September project was FOG and I thought i read something about not cropping the photo. But I cant seem to find it.

So here is my hopefully not last attempt at Florida Fog.

I saw this split in the sunset between the patches of rain clouds and beautiful, relentless, Florida Sun. Seems my lens sitting in supercharged office AC all day had a hard time clearing up as I started to focus.

Since my first Fog shot was happening with or without my will it seams it was destined to land here.

Hi Carl, nice picture, we have no rules against cropping here. Maybe you read that on a different forum or blog.

Only in Florida would you have clouds on one side of the road, with rain, and the other side of the road has sun. I like the common lines of the road and clouds.

I can hear the banjos from across the continent Dolph, I like the use of the sepia tone to set the feeling.
