Porsche 917K at Laguna Seca

Panasonic DMC-G1, Micro-Nikkor 200mm f4

This is 1970 Porsche 917k arguably one of the greatest sports racing cars ever made, and also one of my personal favorites. I had the pleasure of seeing it race at the annual Monterey Historic Automobile Races last August.

This picture was taken from the observation tower at the track. At the time, I had not yet acquired the Lumix 45-200mm zoom, so I used my ancient, manual focus Micro-Nikkor 200mm f4. Fittingly, this lens is from the same era as the race car :)
