Blue Angels on 10/10/10
Panasonic DMC-G1, Lumix 45-200mm
A United jumbo jet was part of the Fleet Week airshow yesterday. You don't normally see a giant passenger plane circling SF Bay with tight turns. My vantage point was just north of the Municipal Fishing Pier at Aquatic Park, about 1/8 of the way up the hill towards Ft. Mason. The Lumix 45-200mm was just "okay" for shooting the action. AF was not always accurate, and I haven't figured out how to efficiently use the lens in MF or continuous focus mode yet. I still managed to get some decent shots though.
Notice the crowds of people viewing the show on the roof of Alcatraz.
A seagull races the Blue Angels during the final fly-by :).

Love seeing the Blue Angels, they don't come any better.
Very cool, love these shots. My fav is the one with one flipped upside down. You can really see the scale/size of plan since you can also see the pilots! Also enjoyed the one with them over Alcatraz. Again, the people make it a very interesting shot to me :)
