Doorways

Nikon F4s, Nikkor 50mm f1.8, Fuji HQ 200, Walgreens scan.

This is inside the officer's quarters at Fort Point. Contrast this to Tom's outside shot.

This was taken at the limits of hand holding with the 50mm lens, probably 1/30 at f2.

Warren, I like this very much, the texture, and pastels, as well as the whole concept really works!!

Tom, I had a feeling you would have a shot like this :). I was hoping that you'd post yours first, but I couldn't wait.

I didn't take any of the staircase. It was way too dark in there to shoot without a tripod.

Nice shot! Did either of you shoot from a lower level? Down on the groud shooting up?

Thanks Dolph. For me, I saw the scene and took it as you see it. A shot from the ground up perspective would have resulted in converging lines, which is not what I was going for. Maybe Tom got one.

Hi Warren, last week I came upon an abandoned shed and had the hexar rf with hexanon 50, but still needs processing, I had Kodak 800 b&w c41 film, so this will be interesting.

I also have a J12 35mm LTM lens, but only put some test shots on that roll, which still needs processing as well.

If you get time, check out my photo book and gear review blog at tedmphoto.bloglines.com.

My goal is to write up one or two new reviews on books or pieces of gear every week, so it might be more interesting to read in a few months ;)

Your photo review blog looks good, Ted. Would you like me to create a link to it from here?

BTW, Ted & Everyone else, this forum is not restricted to pictures only. You can post reviews, questions, commentary, photo philosophy, and other photo related articles here too.
