Barista

Nikon F4, Ilford XP2 Super, scanned from a print

Eric's baker shots reminded me of this one that I took a few months ago while waiting for my Latte. This was a candid. I didn't ask him before I took the picture. Actually, he was so busy and intent in his work that he didn't notice that I took the picture.

Hey, here's another theme for a future monthly project: people at work.

This is a really good "at work" photo, Warren.

I like the expression of concentration on the barista's face, and the orderly arrangement of glasses and utensils to his left.

I think the stuff on the left and the fellow all the way on the right balance the photo nicely.

The "people at work" project idea is a good one - I'll go for it!

Hey, the black blacks and white whites look really clean. The guy was very much into his work when you got him, too.

People at work is a good suggestion. I like that one.

Oh, one good thing re: the baker photos I posted. Remember that I modified them so much that after placing them back on my memory stick, I couldn't see them on teh camera anymore? Well, I had the originals in my recycle bin. I'll be giving the baker a couple of copies of each. He liked them when I showed him initially.
