Nikon D100, Sigma 28-70mm f2.8
What a cute, irresistable, and adorable face!
This picture was taken early in my experience with my D100. It was picture no. 149. I now shot over 7500 frames on the camera. The lens was a Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 zoom. This was the constant 2.8 version, which is large and rather bulky. I've always liked the image quality of the lens when I used it on my film cameras. After I bought the D100, this was my only AF lens, and my only fully compatible lens because the D100 does not meter at all with manual focus, non-cpu lenses.
Now, 3 years later, as I troll back to my archives for pictures to post to the forum, I see some of these pictures taken with the Sigma 28-70mm lens, and I again realize how much I like the image quality from this lens. I ended up selling it because I needed a zoom with a wider, wide end due to the 1.5x crop factor of the digital sensor.

Indeed a cute and loving face of a puppy. Perhaps giving the eyes a catch light would enhance it further. Is there a reason for excluding the long and presumably charming ears, and the front paws...I wonder. The hook attached to the collar is a little bit of an eye sore to me also. Nontheless,a cute pet photo.
