Infrared with a Digital Camera

I've been wanting to do infrared photography after trying it more than twenty years ago. Back then IR had to be done with film. Infrared with digital is easier but has a different look. I shot these with a Canon A610 and a very old Leitz IR filter.

Nice pix, Martin. I looks like a storm is brewing in them. They have a very surrealistic feel.

They look almost like paintings. The second one looks like a winter wonderland -- branches covered in ice crystals and a light dusting of freshly fallen snow. And each tree looks so different from the rest!

Really cool shots Martin!! :D

Hi Martin,

These are so..... Luminous! (I had to hunt for the right word :-) You found perfect subjects for IR - I like both of them very much, but I love the one that has the little gazebo alongside the lake.

Best regards,
Stever
