p.s. I think this shot really shows the superb image quality of the Carl Zeiss 35mm Tessar lens.
Evokes images of Johnny Cash for me.
Nice Warren, can't beat the vintage CZ lenses

It's very eye-catching with its symmetry. Don't forget to look behind! lol

Dramatic photo, very well done!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We're visiting the Out-laws in Oakville, near Toronto.
Happy Holidays! Good shot, I love the height.....
Did you get rained on in Toronto?? Heard it was mild there for Xmas (Canadian terms of mild ;)

Nice picture Warren! I like the lack of ground... a very light & bright feeling here. Super :)

I like these a lot! My favorite is the 2nd one, the one with the fellow reading. The contrast between the very relaxed, casual man in the foreground and the very formal lines of the cathedral is fabulous. The guy in the middle-ground adds a lot.
I like the way the colors pop out in the photos, the reds in the first shot especially.

I really like the combination of colors, shapes and textures in this photo!

Wow! Great combinations of blocky shapes and color!
Great color and contrast Warren

Cool shot, Warren. So when do we raid the castle turrets?

lots of interesting details here, and it looks like an IR shot (even though it's not).

Thanks, Warren. I thought it had a bunch of interesting items myself and that's why I took the shot. I raised the contrast and I messed with channel mixer in Photoshop. I wanted to see if I could get black, white, and the different shades of gray to all come out. If I could get a B&W to look like an IR shot, that would be cool.
Very nice indeed! I like the way you found those very strong diagonal elements - then the shapes in the leaf litter below add a lot of interest - keeps my eyes wandering over the image. You did a great job in the B&W conversion - the tones are beautiful.
Eric, I played around with your wonderful image in PS using the blending mode "overlay" effect with an opacity set at 75%. Gave an interesting IR effect.
Dan
Thanks, guys. Dan, I will try the overlay effect. I have researched on how to make B&W shots take on an IR effect but haven't been too successful. Need to try harder.

Very beautiful Warren - it reminds me of Ansel Adams!
Warren, I know you post many great shots, but for me this is a classic. Reminds me of some of the great photographs of the 30s and 40s. Perfect!!!
Dan
Thanks guys! :)
Nice shot, man. Not only is the composition nice, but I like the fact that you have all shades from white to black.
