Ah, seems old worldly. Heading to the market, for the evenings meal with a basket of delectable. I like the mauve background to showcase your subjects
Dan
Thanks Dan :)
I like the 3rd one as the glow adds mystery to the shadows. My view of the primitive in your series
Dan
Guessing you might have meant the 4th ? :)
Great, creative series, Lea! I like the abstract and surreal feeling of the first picture, and I like the low-key nature that's just a little different than usual.

Lea, I'm so glad you did this! These are really great. I think you should continue doing more of it and explore where you end up.
Nice shot, the first one really artistic, great composition of fifth pic. amazing capture !
Lena
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement Warren, Kash, and Lena!

I forgot to mention that this lens, the Nikkor-H 50mm is from the 1960s. It was first introduced by Nikon in 1963. I got my copy of this lens for free (!) a couple of years ago. I couldn't believe my luck. The filter ring has a huge dent in it, but the glass is in excellent condition and everything else functions well. For this picture, I used it adapted to my Lunix G5.

I have not heard of lens signature before. Please elaborate :)
Lea, I found an interesting article that talks about lens quality wherein it mentions 'lens signature'.

Interesting.. So.. is there a place to look up lens signatures for every lens? I want to know what mine are! :D
Beautiful scenery, nice used B/W, great capture...:-)
Lena
It's a very nice composition, regardless of how it was made. I think your HDR processing was very nicely done, not over the top, like most HDR images that we usually see. It worked for me! :)
--WT
I think the "HDR we see" might just be the ones that are over the top. Many like this would go undetected. I think it's a great image. I really like the softness of the darks, especially in the big rock.
Beautiful view, nice composition, great capture.
Lena
I like the 3rd one. Students crowding the light, listening intently. Warming to new ideas..
Dan, I really like this series! I know that you like to shoot landscapes and nature, but I think your street and cityscape photography has been really top-notch! Thanks for sharing these.

Beautiful night view photos, I really like the first one of picture, look at it,let me think about the Chinese new year is coming soon...:-)
Lena
I love #4: "Eat Crab", with the crabs in the crate peeking over the edge, really nice! :)
I like the simple design of the last picture (less is more) :)

Good combination, Chocolate and sketching. Chocolate seems to help the creative side IMO. Fun!!!
Dan
Great way to kick off this month's project, Lea :) Nice sketches, and great image concept!
--WT
Thanks very much, the chocolates are long gone. The colours may have changed on the page. But the photo remains the same.
Happy New Year Lena! Great colors and patterns on these two pictures. :)

The chair in the lower left makes me want to put it to the right of my previous pic... Kindred chair fragmenting.
Nice abstractions of the home. The shadowing provides a slight surreal quality. A hovering table o,O The second image is so vague, I like it. It took me a few minutes to see that it wasn't three poles together, and rather, just one. That super thin sliver of light bouncing back from the wall onto the pole is also adding to the uniqueness.
