1st Try with 400 f2.8 AF-I
I found a 1978 Nikon 400mm f2.8 AF-I and these are my first efforts. The all metal lens comes in at a cool 15 lbs, and is a tank. Just mounting it on the tripod takes an effort. The focus is amazingly fast even with a 1.7 TC. Mounted on the d800e. Dan

Astounding detail, you can see some little something stuck on the end of the hummer's beak!
