Well, I like the first one more as both the subject (Madison) and the objects (duckies) are more expressive.

Now that I look at them more closely, I would have to agree. The expressions in #1 and the ducky positions are more interesting. The front row of duckies are all looking at Madison as if they were saying, "Pick me! Pick me!".
