Holiday Salmon Run

Our neighborhood watershed supports the largest Coho Salmon run in Central California.  These Salmon listed by the Government as endangered are making a nice run this year with high water levels due to nearly 20 inches of rain this season.  Nikon d800e with Nikon 14-24, f2.8 and 70-200, f2.8 lenses.  Dan

Both really nice shots, Dan. I like the smooth flowing water in the 2nd one. We talked about the salmon run a while back, I was wondering how much longer will we be able to see them this season?

Thanx Warren and Lena, the salmon should be around for week or so. Went out today to look for river otters feeding on the salmon, but couldn't find them. Folks say their are six otters around and they put on a good show. Merry Xmas to all.
