let's try this again...
ok, i uploaded a few shots the other day but they were a bit bigger than the ones posted here...i deleted them and want to give this another shot.
i shoot with a small complement of lenses (these days) and exclusively on a pair of rd1 cameras. in the past i only shot black & white but the colours from the rd1 have seduced me and much of what i shoot now stays in colour.
i welcome feedback and comments in general, generally.

Wow, really nice first post, Joe :) You're going to add a nice 'Street' dimension to the group, while Simon appears to have the panoramic style well in hand. Our November project should be right up your "alley" :P.
Blogger's search feature is broken so to compensate, I've been adding Labels to my posts so at least we can click on a label to see other related pictures.
Re the pictures:
#1 I'm left wondering where the utensils went. Nice form and lighting.
#2 It looks like you interrupted this guys' snack, he looks a bit annoyed.
#3 Looks spontaneous, nice catch
#4 I love the eye contact between the two subjects, really nice moment.

utensils were moved out of the way. this was shot with a panasonic g1 (my other camera).
he was standing in the middle of a walk way, eating. i shot a few images of him and while this one has some camera shake, i prefer it to the others i took.
these 2 women work at the store they are in front of. they drew the outline for the jumping game and started to play...all the while i was shooting and they completely ignored me.
i call #4...and their eyes met.
Love the first one, simple and subtle observation of space and lighting. Great dof. Makes me want to take some macros now too... :) The hop-scotch one is cute, joyful energy! They look like they're enjoying these work hours.. hehee
really like the empty coffee cream containers. Great imagery and the use of a simple scene to make a beautiful image.
Dan
thanks for the kind words...
