Late Afternoon Fog

The television transmission tower on Mt. Sutro stands above the afternoon fog creeping in over San Francisco. I shot this with a Canon A610.

Great, Martin! Very dramatic subject matter and composition, and very well executed, too.

Isn't the Canon 610 a great little camera, BTW!

Best regards,

Martin, I like a lot about the shot. The lighting under the fog seems a little dark for the amount of light on top of the fog. What time of day did you shoot the picture? Was something under the fog keeping it so dark?

The photo was made around 5:30PM or so. The area under the fog is in deep shadow, trees and homes.

Martin,

I like your recurring "fog theme". It's very interesting to see all the different variations.

By the way, I think your picture "broke" the formatting of the blog. It pushed the sidebar stuff down to the bottom, I think because the picture is too wide. This hasn't happened for a long time because we've been using the thumbnail posting method lately.

Martin, ignore my last comment about the blog formatting. It was my browser that had the problem, not your picture.
