Feral Kittens

Lumix G5, Lumix 100-300mm

Our friend, Bob, affectionately refers to them as his "Grand Kids". These two were hiding in the bushes in his backyard. They are very timid, and get scared easily, so I had to be extremely stealthy with my shooting. The G5's optional electronic shutter really helped because the E-shutter makes absolutely no noise at all.

We had a cat that decided to have her kittens in the walls of an old shed when I was about.. 7 or 8 years old.. They were super cute and we never got to pet them, it was terrible! ;) I'm impressed you got this close. They are pretty adorable, but recalling a lot of hissing noise.

Ooo and I used my E-shutter (didn't know that's its name) at a book launch last week. One more useful use of it...

Kimchi and Toro

Lumix G5, Lumix 20mm f1.7

My friend, Dennis, adopted these two female kittens recently. I went over to see them and I wanted to get some nice pictures of them for Dennis. The one with the black collar is Toro and the one with the pink collar is Kimchi. The lighting was dim and the kittens were very active, so it was not easy to get these shots. :)

Just in time for Halloween.

Wary Eyes

Lumix DMC-G5, Lumix 45-200mm

We saw this cat in La Roque-Gageac, France. La Roque is next to the Dordogne River.

It was not happy that the dog was behind it.
