Parrot Cornered

I cornered this parrot on Telegraph Hill today. The flock that I found was friendly and actually posed for photos. Flash fill was used on this frame.

Crikey! He's a beauty!

This is really excellent, Martin. Beautiful detail in the delicate feathers and great separation from the background. I'm really glad you're back in action!

Best regards,

Nice picture, Martin! Gail will be jealous. We went to look for the parrots twice but missed them both times. Where did you find them this time, and what time of the day was it?

I found this flock on the east side of Telegraph Hill. Go to Union and Montgomery and walk east past Calhoun and down the dead end steps. The other spot for the parrots are the Filbert steps which are one block north. Best time of day is afternoon at 3pm or so.
