Gull at Pier 39

Nikon D100, Nikkor 300mm f4.5

My obligatory seagull shot :). The day after Steve R. visited us, Gail and I went for a long walk to almost the same places. I brought my 300mm in case we ran into the wild parrots again. We didn't see the parrots, but I used the lens on the more accessible animals at Pier 39 (gulls and sea lions).

A first-class photo, Warren! Your use of the long telephoto simplified the background and created quite beautiful negative spaces.

wow - so white it looks like it could be made of snow and ice! The crisp focus adds to the chilly chiseled look.
