A very good double-portrait! Wonderful expressions - I can actually see how proud the proud papa is, and his little girl is really beautiful and enjoying posing.

My only suggestion is - I would have loved to see more light on Dad's face and the bright line at bottom eliminated.

As far as the pose and expressions - couldn't do much better than you did.

thanks for the comment and suggestion. That's a good observation. I corrected some unflattering reflections and highlights on Ray's face, and tried lightening it, but the low-res image wouldn't hold up to very much editing, so I left it. When I decide to actually scan the negative, I'll do more work on it to lighten Dad's face. The bright line is from direct sunlight shining through the roof slat of the gazebo that they were under, and I was too lazy to photoshop it out.

It was one of those moments where the priceless expressions would have been lost if I hesitated or fiddled too much before snapping the shutter.

Hmmm, i played with the bad scan a little more and I find that this image is pretty hard to work with. Does someone want to take a stab at lightening/brightening Ray's face? If it turns out well, I would appreciate tips on how to do it. BTW, Ray's complexion is naturally pretty dark to begin with.
