Yosemite Falls View in Winter, Jan. 2001, Nikon F4, Kodachrome 64. Posted by Hello

Gail and I were up in Yosemite for her birthday in January, 2001. We always wish for snow whenever we're in the Valley during winter, and the night before this shot, we got our wish. It began to snow heavily right after dinner. The next morning, we got up early to see the all the fresh snow that fell the night before. The sun was out, and in the morning, the Yosemite Falls side of the valley is highlighted while everything else is still dark and chilly.

Can you feel the chill in the air when you look at this picture?

Nice picture! Why are you shooting Kodachrome though? Have you tried some of the recent Ektachrome or Fujichrome films? I haven't shot Kodachrome in more than 20 years!

Thanks Martin. That was an old leftover roll. I've since switched to the newer Ektachrome and Fujichrome.

By the way, that was not a rhetorical question in the original notes of this post. I really want to know if this picture makes you guys "feel" the chill. :)
