Victoria

I've been enjoying every walk in the city a lot more since this lettering project started. Keeping my eyes open for things like this.

Words are so important. And with imagery and photos, I sometimes forget that they are quite beautiful too.

Thanks Lena, I tried it straight on as well, but liked the triangular angles in the corners better :)

Sail Heel

This was taken last month but I thought I'd post it anyways since it fit the July theme. And I like it..

It seemed a mystery as to why either of these things were here, in a back alley of Vancouver's Yaletown.

Picturing the lettering being made... It's pretty interesting.

The Water After Dark

I made it out last night to shoot some water scenes as the light fell behind the mountains.

I had an ND filter on to lengthen the exposure time and smooth the water out around the solid forms.

It's moonlight on the right, and some urban lights across the water on the left.

Very nice color and softness of the water in motion.

Nicely done Lea, I would never had considered using a ND filter for a low light image. Very clever!!!

Across the Burrard Bridge

My brother made a few jumps over the Burrard Bridge, but I liked this one the best. Walking, sneaking, tip toeing across. Not sure if his weight will be over the limit..

Red and Yellow

I added some blur to the top and bottom to lessen the impact of all this glass. The two colours, red and yellow, seem to help focus away from it all too. Or maybe it's the other way.. The glass and reflections help frame these two unreflective coloured cubes.

I think it's the other way... The colored cubes are framed by the glass and reflections. :)

How many "windows" are visible in this image? :P

I think it's like counting stars... Good up until about 5 and then it's out of control counting-guessing.
