Florida Regulars
Nikon D7000 Nikkor 55-300mm + Lightroom
I always take a look at the pond in my back yard before running inside. The past couple weeks have been busy with activity. The Snake Bird is a new regular and the Iguana is the first one I have seen this far north in a long time.

Who needs a zoo, when you have a backyard like yours. I like your choice of B and W for the bird image Carl.

Admiring the beauty and strangeness of the bird in b&w.... The branches that support him seem to have a delicate strength in movement. Transitioning. Very nice.
Excellent capture, nice frame and B/W image...:-)

Nice photo of the bird in B and W. You should post a couple of the other pictures that you took of this bird.

Thanks!!! I really love the way the B&W turned out and am very pleased to see others do as well. And yes the branches in my mind add so much character and depth to the photo.
Ok, Dolph I will post the rest of them I finished after this post.
*Dan* I was thinking the same thing the other day. I really love the few lakes i have around here. They are full of life.

Ditto for me, I wish I had a backyard with exotic wildlife like that :)
Nice ones, Carl. I have some pictures of the Snakebirds (Anhinga) that I took during a trip to the Everglades with Dolph.
