Boffo in Bowie...

So much for my attempt to write headlines in the style of Variety!

One of my photos is now showing at a juried art exhibit sponsored by Bowie Arts Committee at Bowie City Hall, 15901 Excalibur Road.

The theme of this exhibit, which runs until March 16, 2013, is "Abstracts"  (so all you Californians, hurry up and fly over here to see it! ;-)  Entries the judges accepted include photographs, painting, mixed media, and small sculptures.

I submitted two photos, and the judges chose my "Green Spiral Benches" (center framed item in the photo here) for the exhibit.

You can see a larger rendition of the image here

Thanks to Warren for reminding me to post this on FPCF!

Congratulations on your exhibit, Steve! Thanks for sharing that with us.

I forgot to ask Dan to post about his recent showing, which was also a juried art exhibit.

Also, for those of you in the SF Bay Area, Dan will have an exhibit of his work coming up soon. Dan, please post details.

Congratulations on a very nice photograph Steve!! Great use of perspective. I sure is nice to print and frame our work. I still like the tactile satisfaction of printing, must be a hold over from the wet darkroom.

I am in the middle of putting 30 prints together for a show at the San Geronimo Valley Community Center. The show will run for the month of April, with a reception on April 13, tentative time is at 7 PM. I will be bring the food and beverages so for those in the Bay Area, you are more than welcome.
