Lost and Found

I got  lost on the way back from my haircut on Tuesday which was awesome because it allowed me to block the middle of the road as I snapped my first Florida Cow. (Sad right?)

If I had been carrying something other than my 50mm This shot would have been a lot closer. This was as brave as I was getting the other day.

He's sticking his tongue out at you, LOL :)

At first glance, it looks like a bizarre cow with an extra long body.

Interesting choice to make it B&W.

LOL, I thought it an interesting photo depending on what you were paying attention to.

The black and white helped bridge the gap in color.

BMW 3.5 CSL at Laguna Seca

Lumix G5, Lumix 100-300mm

And now for a change of pace... :)

Any BMW fans out there?

I shot this on Sat. 8/16 at the annual Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca Raceway. I practice my motorsports photography once a year at this event :). The BMW had just exited Turn 3 and was accelerating down the short straight to Turn 4.

This is a 1975 BMW 3.5 CSL that raced in the IMSA GTO Series of that era. It was one of four made for the IMSA GTO racing series. The engine is a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder, producing 440bhp at 8600rpm. (wow!) I really like the wild paint and outrageous spoilers, flares and generally bold appearance.

I have many more photos from Race Week that I may decide to post in the days to come.

Gail, Warren & Dolph

The four of us got together a about a week ago to go shoot in Goldengate park, followed by dinner.
Here's the picture of Dolph I was taking when Warren snapped the last photo:

Great shots Keshav! Someday I am going to make it out there.

Dolph I venture to say you had a good trip. Looking youthful and relaxed.

Jeanne

I've been living with a colorful octogenarian these past three months and it has been a blast. As my internship comes to an end this coming week and I fly out. I'll miss being her technology coach and disagreeing with her about practically everything.

The below illustrates an episode from a few Sundays ago:

I really enjoy your Photos Keshav. You can tell in all your photos your subjects are at ease and genuinely enjoy your company whether they know you or not. I see a genuine knack for street photography coming that I am looking forward to seeing progress.

Thank you also for the added vocabulary. =)
